Ludhiana - 14th August, 2009: To celebrate Independence Day, Omaxe Ltd., India's leading real estate developers will be organising 'Independence Cup 2009' a football tournament at Ludhiana Lions Football club at Omaxe Royal Residency, Pakhowal Road Ludhiana. Four teams would be participating in the tournament among which three teams are from the prestigious schools of Ludhiana- Gurunanak Senior Secondary School, Bhartiya Vidhya Bhawan & Amrit Indo Canadian School while the fourth team would be Ludhiana Lions. 'Independence Cup 2009' will be organised at Ludhiana LIONS - The first of its kind Football club of Ludhiana at Omaxe Royal Residency at Pakhowal Road from 5:00 pm onwards under the flood lights. The tournament will be played on knock out basis and the best team and player will be awarded. The Independence Cup tournament will be a perfect place for fun, excitement & entertainment for the people of Ludhiana during this long weekend. The Ludhiana Lions football club will also organize Ludhiana Inter-Corporate tournament in the first week of September where leading corporate of Ludhiana will participate. Omaxe Ltd had recently launched LIONS, a football Club in Omaxe Royal Residency Ludhiana. The club offers free membership and training to the children of the armed forces and under privileged giving them full opportunity of high quality participation. In addition to it, modern equipments & internationally practiced training schedule are adopted at the club to give the best of the opportunity to the young stars.
